Hair is known as our crowning glory, and it is okay to desire some changes for your hair if you feel like it is not to your liking. Hair can be defined in different dimensions, including length, color, and density. Hair density is how many hair strands are on your head for every square inch.

Density mostly influences how we style our hair, and while it may be affected by factors like ethnicity, some health conditions, and even age can cause loss of hair. Other factors that can lead to hair loss include lack of a proper diet, genes, and lack of proper care.

The good news, however, is that there are some ways in which you can enhance your hair density, and some of those methods are natural, which means that there will be no further effects on your hair.

1. Aloe Vera

You can use it by buying shampoos and hair oils that contain aloe Vera as an ingredient or apply the gel directly to your scalp, massage it in and let it sit for around 30 minutes, then rinse it off with lukewarm water. You can also mix it with olive or coconut oil.

Eggs not only help the body when eaten but can help grow stronger and thicker hair when properly applied to your scalp. To use them;

  • Beat two eggs and apply them to your scalp and through your damp hair.
  • Let them sit for around 30 minutes.
  • Wash them off with mild shampoo and warm water.


  • Mix around three eggs yolks with e tbsp. of water and I tbsp. of olive oil.
  • Apply the moisture to your scalp and through dry hair.
  • Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • Wash it off with mild shampoo and warm water.

This is safe to use even twice a week, and ensure you always rinse it off to eliminate the egg smell.

Forget how much onions make you tear every time you cut them because they are a miracle worker for your hair growth. Not only are they good at leaving your hair shiny and smooth, but they will also help improve growth and density. To use;

  • Extract onion juice, enough for your whole head in a bowl.
  • Dip a cotton pad into the juice and apply it all over your scalp and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  • Wash off your hair with a mild shampoo, conditioner, and lukewarm water.
  • To keep off the strong onion smell, you can use any essential oils your style your hair.

  • Apply the paste evenly to your hair roots and let it sit for about an hour.
  • Rinse it off with mild shampoo and cold water.

5. Olive Oil

You can choose to add honey to the oil for more benefits or leave the oil on your hair overnight covered with a shower cap.

Avocado is packed with vitamin E, and its natural oils make it a perfect moisturizer for your hair.

  • Mix one avocado with a tablespoon of olive oil to make an avocado rub.
  • Apply the mixture evenly onto your scalp and through your hair.
  • Leave it for around 30 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with mild shampoo and warm water.

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of gelatine, one tablespoon of lemon juice, one tablespoon of water, and a tablespoon of aloe Vera gel.
  • Apply the mixture evenly on your scalp and hair.
  • Let it sit for 60 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with cold water and a mild shampoo.

  • Eggs- Eggs are not only great when applied to the hair but also when eaten. They are rich in proteins that enhance the strength of your follicles and biotin, which promotes the production of keratin. They are also rich in selenium and zinc, which are good for hair growth and strength.
  • Avocados- They are rich in vitamin E, which is an antioxidant that helps fight oxidative stress and protect the scalp from damage by eliminating free radicals.
  • Spinach- Spinach is rich in Vitamin A, which promotes sebum secretion, the natural oils that keep your scalp healthy and moisturized. They are also rich in iron, which increases blood flow to the scalp, folate, and vitamin C.
  • Berries- They have high vitamin C levels, which is an antioxidant that protects your scalp and hair follicles from damage by free radicals. Vitamin C also promotes the production of collagen, which strengthens the hair preventing breakage.

  • Don’t over- wash your hair- Washing your hair too much will strip it of its natural oils, which leaves it dry and weak, increasing the chances of breakage.
  • Avoid heat- When styling or drying your hair, try your best to use heatless objects and let it air dry because the heat weakens your hair. Also, avoid hot water when washing or rinsing your hair to avoid ripping it off all its natural oils.
  • Use mild hair products- Very harsh shampoos and conditioners will also remove all the natural oils and moisture from your hair, leaving it weak and prone to breakage and fallout.
  • Trim your hair regularly- While we may hate the idea of losing a few inches of our hair, cutting those dead ends will help promote the faster growth of our hair.
